President Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in the ceremony of launching the construction of a number of facilities on the territory of New Tashkent.
"Today we are laying the foundation for the university campuses “Yangi Uzbekistan” and Tashkent State Pedagogical University, the National Library, the National Theater, the International Research Center, the Museum of Literature, the Alisher Navoi School of Creativity, as well as the National Makom Center," Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
A modern campus for the university will also be built in the city “Yangi Uzbekistan”. The university trains specialists in the fields of engineering, management, information technology, agricultural technology, humanities and natural sciences. The new campus will house academic buildings for 10,000 students, a canteen with 1,1 thousand seats, a library and a compact museum, a sports complex and an Olympic swimming pool. Dormitories for 2,000 students and housing for 286 teachers and staff will also be built.
The next project is a new complex for the National Library of Uzbekistan. All conditions will be created here for the proper storage of more than 10 million copies of literature and high-quality service to 1.4 thousand readers at the same time. The total area will be 30 thousand square meters.
A unique complex of spirituality will also appear in the new city, combining an International research Center, a school of creativity, the Alisher Navoi Museum of Literature and the National Makoma Center.
Recall that it is planned to move all state institutions from the center of the capital to the territory of New Tashkent.
