ICCI 2026: SHAPING THE ARCHITECTURE OF THE FUTURE AND SCALE OF NEW UZBEKISTAN’S DEVELOPMENT

The 7th International Conference of Construction Industry — ICCI 2026 took place as a major highlight of the Uzbekistan Construction and Interior Week on 10–11 February, in Tashkent.
The Conference marked an integral part of the programme, complementing the Week's flagship event: the 27th Uzbekistan International Construction Exhibition — UzBuild 2026 by serving as its principal business platform. It offered industry professionals a valuable forum to explore advanced technologies, innovative approaches and best international practices in the delivery of major construction projects.
The Conference was held with the support of ÇELİKER HOLDİNG — a leading Turkish company specialising in infrastructure and above-ground construction projects in Uzbekistan, which served as its General Sponsor.
Reflecting the sector's evolving trends, this year's Conference took place under the theme New Uzbekistan: From Ideas to Large-Scale Solutions.
ICCI 2026 brought together representatives of 37 companies and 39 speakers from six countries — Georgia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan. The Conference welcomed a total of 450 delegates from 16 countries, including Afghanistan, Republic of Belarus, China, Czech Republic, France, Georgia, Iran, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Republic of Korea, Russia, Tajikistan, Türkiye, the UAE, and Uzbekistan.
The exceptionally strong interest in the Conference once again confirmed the ICCI's position as a comprehensive industry platform, combining plenary sessions, panel discussions, expert presentations and professional insights. Collectively, these formats provided participants with up-to-date perspectives on emerging trends in the construction sector and practical experience drawn from major projects. Over the course of two days, the Conference brought together the representatives of government institutions, industry associations and professional bodies, developers, construction companies, financial organisations and leading market experts.
In keeping with tradition, the Conference was opened with a plenary session that set the strategic tone for the programme and defined its key themes. The session Construction Sector in a Rapidly Developing Uzbekistan focused on the national housing and infrastructure programmes, architecture of the future, and New Uzbekistan development agenda. The speakers included representatives of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Uzbekistan, New Tashkent Construction Directorate, the Week's sponsor Çeliker Holding, as well as KNAUF Uzbekistan, BCG Middle East and Commonwealth Partnership Uzbekistan.
The programme also featured a series of panel and focused discussions on sustainable construction of the New Tashkent megaproject, next-generation development models and creation of contemporary urban environments, expansion of transport, engineering and environmental infrastructure, innovative materials, industrial automation, and international cooperation.
The forward-looking agenda of Uzbekistan Construction and Interior Week generated an unprecedented level of professional and public engagement. The event received coverage on 84 information platforms, including government and international organisations, diplomatic missions, major corporations and holdings, industry associations and regional administrations, banks, numerous bloggers, and 33 domestic and international media outlets. During the event, the organisers' social media channels reached more than 7,500 followers, while total audience reach was 6,581,600 users.
The Conference's impact and practical relevance were widely acknowledged by both participants and visitors.
Saidnosir Usmonov, Ministry of Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Uzbekistan, Information Policy Adviser to the Minister:
"The Conference provided an effective platform for dialogue between the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Communal Services, authorities responsible for construction and architecture, and development organisations operating across the sector. Discussions were focused on specific industry challenges. Representatives of various organisations outlined the existing issues and measures being implemented to address them — the points that were also confirmed by experts."
New Tashkent Construction Directorate, Azizbek Omonov, Head of Department:
"One of the main objectives of our active participation is to remain fully updated regarding the latest innovations, advanced technologies and emerging processes shaping the construction sector, both in Uzbekistan and globally. The annual nature of this Conference brings significant value not only to the state and the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Communal Services, but also to developers, clients, manufacturers of construction materials, industry analysts and financial experts. The focus of this year's Conference reflects implementation of new technologies and specific features of project implementation in Uzbekistan during the 2025–2030. The ongoing large-scale construction activity as part of the New Tashkent project, together with the standards applied and technologies introduced, closely align with the themes explored during discussions."
Çeliker Holding, Emrah Çeliker, Board Chairman:
"I have been working in Uzbekistan for 15 years and firmly believe the country is one of Central Asia's rising stars, with an ambitious construction agenda — that is precisely why we have chosen to serve as General Sponsor of both the Conference and the exhibition. Today, we are not only a construction company but also a developer and project initiator, therefore supporting major industry events such as this is of great importance to us. They bring professionals together to discuss the future of construction and long-term development of the sector as a whole."
TBC Bank Uzbekistan, Spartak Tetrashvili, CEO:
"The Conference of the Construction Industry has now been held for seven years. I can see that it is gaining importance not only in Uzbekistan but becoming increasingly recognised internationally. Today, together with our colleagues from Georgia, we discussed possible pathways for entering Uzbekistan's construction market, which is expanding rapidly and offers substantial potential. The ICCI provides an excellent platform for understanding the market. I would like to thank the organisers for their significant contribution."
