Uzbekistan, Tashkent – AN Podrobno.uz.
A new road is being built in the Surkhandarya region, which will connect two highways of international importance and will reduce the time of delivery of goods to Tashkent, reports a Podrobno.uz correspondent.

The new road will connect the M39 and M41 motorways. Previously, there was an old dirt road here, which was not suitable for the movement of cars and heavy trucks.

The work is financed within the framework of the Asian Development Bank project. They are divided into two stages - section of the highway 4R105 "Darband - Boysun - Elbayon" from 5 to 70 km (65 km) and section 4R100 "Manguzar - Zharkurgan - Bandikhon - Altynsay - Denov" from 128 to 174 km (46 km). As a result, the total length of the road that will be created as part of the project will be 111 km.

Upon completion of the project, the international highways M39 and M41, passing through the territory of the Surkhandarya region, will be combined, which will shorten the route by 146 km for international and local carriers transporting goods to Tashkent and neighboring countries.
